The race for the 2024 presidential nomination of the GOP just received a brand new and highly unlikely contestant. Chris Christie declared his focus will be solely on attacking former President Donald Trump.

Chris Christie, who was New Jersey’s governor from 2010 until 2018, ran unsuccessfully for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.
Subsequently, Christie endorsed Trump. He was even considered for the vice presidential position. In 2017, under Trump, he served as the head of the commission on opioid and drug abuse.
The former New Jersey governor fell out with Trump in the wake of the J6 events at the US Capitol.
In a New Hampshire town hall earlier this week, Christie made it clear that he would not only run for the GOP nomination, but his focus would be on taking down Trump, Red State reports.
Christie decided to run for president, even though a new Morning Consult survey has shown him polling below another highly unpopular anti-Trump Republican, former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney.

Looks like Mike Pence and Chris Christie have only entered the race to attack Trump … they'll both drop out of the race after losing a few states and endorse DeSantis.

Boring Failure With Bizarre Endorsements
The former New Jersey governor was indeed “teasing” a presidential run for months, but it didn’t seem like he was taken very seriously by supporters of the GOP. To make Christie’s candidacy even more bizarre, he received “endorsements” for highly compromised figures.
Those include Joy Behar, a far-left co-host of the moronic ABC show “The View,” and Jennifer Rubin, a Never Trumper columnist of the Washington Post and an ally of Ron Klain, Joe Biden’s ex-Chief of Staff.
Another WaPo writer, Philip Bump, wrote on Twitter that Christie was the only GOP figure who could run against Trump.
Meanwhile, in a Truth Social post, Trump ridiculed his former ally Christie for repeating the word “small” during his New Hampshire town hall speech. Trump added Christie was a failure as governor, saying his speech was “boring” and “hard to watch.”
