New January 6 Court Filings Raise Eyebrows

The aftermath of the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021 remains ongoing more than two years later. Individuals are still being brought before judges to receive sentences for their participation in the breach of the US Capitol.

Meanwhile, Americans differ in their views about what’s appropriate or what crosses the line regarding how those involved in January 6 are being dealt with.

As all this plays out, a new court filing pertaining to the events at the US Capitol over two years ago is raising questions and new conversations, according to The Epoch Times.

What to Know About This New Court Filing

Kansas man William Pope is a defendant in court proceedings pertaining to the Capitol riot in 2021. In a new court filing, however, Pope submits records that assert undercover officers with the Metropolitan Police Department joined January 6 rioters near the Capitol’s northwest section.

The court filing likewise shows the aforementioned undercover officers stopping federal agents who were wearing plain clothes at the time. In the court documentation is a video that also reveals Metropolitan Police Department officers alleging they were set up.

Likewise, in the time leading up to the shooting of Ashli Babbitt, amid her climbing into a broken window of the Capitol, one of the undercover officers is seen behind Babbitt and making the prediction that a person will get shot.

In a motion, Pope goes on to state that law enforcement played a role in egging on rioters to enter the Capitol over two years ago.

He also makes the claim that because the government has denied this took place, legal counsel for various January 6 defendants needs to be permitted to review all existing evidence.

Ever since January 6 and the fallout for those involved, many Americans have stated that all is not as it seems.

The January 6 committee that reviewed the riots during the last Congress was also accused of cherry-picking and overlooking information that didn’t suit a certain narrative.
